Self Development Through Shaolin Martial Arts

Iron Shirt Chi Kung Gallery

Shaolin Iron Shirt Chi Kung is the stuff of legends. Only students who show the required levels of commitment are selected and must undergo oath taking ceremonies before the secret practices are taught to them. Once the skill is developed, the student learns how to move his internal energy or Chi to areas of the body to protect them from blows that would cripple or serious injure a normal person.

If you are considering training with Nam Yang Martial Arts Association, we hate to dissapoint you but you won't be practicing Iron Shirt Chi Kung when you begin training. It goes without saying, do not try to replicate any of these feats without the appropriate training as they involve considerable risk of injury.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
Master Armstrong shows face washing the Shaolin way - in broken glass! After rubbing the glass which was freshly broken in front of an audience in Central London, no cuts nor redness is left. In fact no tiny splinters or glass shards even stick to the skin.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
Lying on a bed of broken glass, slabs are placed on Master Armstrong's stomach. These were then forcibly broken using a sledgehammer! Again, no injury is sustain either to his front or back.

Iron Palm
A senior Nam Yang student demonstrates the use of Geng destructive energy as he smashes five blocks with a single blow. Such feats are not done through brute strength alone and the secrets of Geng and Chi are what makes the Shaolin Martial Arts one of the most lethal fighting systems ever.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
Standing on his head a student opens his legs. Master Armstrong delivers a strike so powerful to his exposed groin that the staff breaks in two! The student will after stand, smile and no injury is sustained. Feats like this made the Shaolin Martial Artist among the most feared adversary. How can you harm someone who can smile after that?!

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
Another student demonstrates the inconceivable powers to take devastating blows unharmed that Shaolin Iron Shirt Chi Kung confers by receiving multiple strikes

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
Here the student on the top is taking blows to the stomach with an axe - the standard type of axe that anyone can buy in a hardware store

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
This is a rare feat few Iron Shirt Chi Kung exponents can perform. Here Master Armstrong has his head sandwiched between blocks. A sledgehammer is then used to break both the blocks on top and underneath - that shows that the Kinetic Energy of the impact is passing through his head into the lower block!

Iron Shirt Chi Kung
In this demonstration the student places the tip of the spear in soft point at the end of the windpipe and between the collar bones. He then walks forward into the spear with such force the spear bends!
