Freehand V Tantow Course

This weapons sparring set is the basic sparring set and lays the foundations of effective weapons sparring. It promotes coordination, flexibility and dexterity in both performers. Practise of this routine teaches the performer how to read an opponent and how to counter attacks which can be applied in real situations. Additionally the effective performance of this routine may lead to involvement with Nam Yang's famous performance team. On the day you will be partnered up based on size and will be taught either the Tan Tow of the Freehand part of the routine whilst practising with your partner throughout the day. You will be able to choose your partner if you wish.

The course is open to all Nam Yang members who have already learned the Tan Tow.

It will encompass:

•  Learning the routine in its entirety.

•  Coaching on the performance of the routine.

•  Coaching on weapons sparring

•  Legalities of owning and practising with weapons.
